Radio? I just need a laptop!

I already played my iTunes a thousand times, I am playing my playlists over and over again. I'm bored!!!!

Sometimes, I have the tendency to be picky with songs. Sometimes, I want heavy metals or dance music. But most of the time, I want hip hop or RNB yow! that is how i play my music -according to genre.

But sometimes, I want to shuffle things out. But even though there is a shuffle option in iTunes, I still listen to the same music I already played. So a bright idea pops out of my head: "what about tuning-in to a radio?" It seems a good idea but the problem is, I don't have a radio in my boarding house (loser).

One day when i was so damn eager to tune-in to my favorite radio station, the best station evuhr! Magic 89.9!!! hindi mo na kelangan pang i-memorize yan! The DJs are good, the music is good, what more can you ask for? (Disclaimer: I am not plugging this radio station, I'm just saying THEY"RE GOOD!!!) Back in the days, I always tune-in every night to listen in their segment. drum roll please, the horns are playing... bells are ringing... BOYS NIGHT OUT!! woot woot. I enjoy the company of DJ Sam YG, DJ Tony Toni and DJ sleek-Rick every night playing those music and laughing their ass out with their jokes, its education for the boys! hahaha But still, nothing beats the beautiful voice of Samanta, their traffic.com reporter. Hearing her voice is like a hot green tea in my ears, helps me relax and de-toxify my hellish day in school. Well so much about them, back to my point. So as I was saying earlier, I badly want to tune-in but I don't have a radio. Thinking of a substitute, I came across to a very familiar topic in our subject, the ever life-saving internet! I can't imagine my life in CBA without it. So using the ever reliable search engine of google, i googled websites that have a podcast or just a simple online radio streaming. and poof! i now use my laptop for tuning-in to Magic 89.9 yeah! Every night is 'Boys Night Out.'

Imagine life without internet, yeah I know that thousands of years before, man existed without it. But what about today?

A life of a gamer, NOT!

Just to give a background, I live in Laguna. I rent a bed space near UP for my studies. With that our electronic gadgets are monitored, thus, less gadgets for entertainment. BOO!!!

In my childhood days, my parents never bought me a game console. NOT even a FAMILY COMPUTER, how boring my childhood life was. hahaha... but still, I'm perfectly normal even without those things. I grew up with the TV and radio. Oh, I almost forgot that I had a game boy, not game boy advanced, not the colored one, but yes, the very first game boy! "yung parang pang-kaskas ng yelo?" thats how they describe it. You definitely won't call me a gamer. I suck in playing those kinds of games. When my cousins bought a playstation console, they always invite me to play with them; just to whoop my ass in 'Tekken' and 'Gran Turismo' aargh, I hate those days when I feel I was such a loser.

Oh well, enough of the bad old days. Still, I'm thankful for what I had when I was a kid. I have a complete family and friends who I can play with. I prefer quality time with my parents rather than sticking my face in a game and heating the couch for hours of play.

Change

"the only thing constant in this world is change"
i just forgot where i heard or read that line, but still, i quoted it.. (hindi yan plagiarism sir ah, hehe)

I just read my book in one of my subjects- organizational behavior, about change and it just reaffirms that technology is one of the factors that drives changes in an organization. The constant evolution of technology makes the company adapt to gain competitive advantage or to simply optimize their operations; to be efficient and effective to all they do.

Not only in the operations does technology affect the business but also in marketing. From our marketing discussions, we have tackled that marketing through the common medium such TV ads and prints are still most effective but there are new ways of marketing the products to consumers and it is through the improvements in information technology. There are so many ways businesses can use technology to promulgate their product, and by using new mediums, new horizons of consumers can now be targeted or reached.

There may be fear in changing something because what is unknown to us is something we fear about, but just like what sir Ben Paul told us in class about a quote in development "damn if you do, damned if you don't"
